This Privacy Policy describes how GreenConverter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application (the “App”). GreenConverter is a unit conversion tool designed to work primarily on your device.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Summary

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, phone number, or location for our own servers.
• Conversion history, favorites, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the current version of the App.

3. Information we process

3.1 Information stored on your device

To provide App features, GreenConverter may store the following data locally on your device using on-device storage:

• Conversion history — recent unit conversions you perform
• Favorites — conversion pairs you choose to save
• Preferences — language, theme (light/dark/system), decimal precision, and haptic feedback settings
• App state — whether onboarding or feature overview has been completed

This information stays on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers because GreenConverter does not operate a user account or cloud sync service for this data.

3.2 Information we do not collect

In the current version of the App, we do not intentionally collect:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Precise or approximate location
• Contacts, photos, or files from your device
• Payment or financial information
• Health or biometric data
• Advertising identifiers for marketing purposes

3.3 Permissions

Depending on your device and platform, the App may request or use:

• Internet access — included for standard app platform functionality. Core conversion features do not require you to send personal data to us over the internet.
• Vibration / haptics — used only if you enable haptic feedback in Settings.

4. How we use information

Locally stored information is used solely to:

• Perform and display unit conversions
• Remember your favorites and recent history
• Apply your language, theme, and precision preferences
• Improve your in-app experience on the same device

5. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Because conversion history, favorites, and preferences remain on your device, we do not share that App content with third parties.

If you download the App from Google Play, Google may process certain installation, device, and store-related information under Google’s own privacy policy. We do not control Google’s independent data practices.

6. Third-party services

The current version of GreenConverter does not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash-reporting services, or social login providers.

If we add such services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, disclose them in the Google Play Data safety section.

7. Data retention and deletion

Local App data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the App.

You can manage or remove stored data by:

• Clearing conversion history and favorites from within the App (where available)
• Resetting App preferences from Settings
• Clearing the App’s storage in your device settings
• Uninstalling GreenConverter, which typically removes locally stored App data

8. Children’s privacy

GreenConverter is a general-audience utility app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the App. Because most App data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data also depends on your device settings, screen lock, and operating system protections.

No method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International users

The App may be used in different countries. Locally stored information remains on the device where the App is installed. If you use the App outside your home country, your device’s local laws and platform policies may also apply.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal data, such as access, correction, deletion, or objection to certain processing. Because GreenConverter stores preference and history data on your device, you can usually exercise control directly by changing settings or deleting App data as described above.
